Lorong Karat Muo & Kopi-Kopi Malam

Here’s another interesting place to visit in Muar. We had wanted to visit this place for a long time but never found the chance. Finally, we went!

Lorong Karat Muo & Kopi Kopi Malam is located in the heart of Muar’s town. You can find it by searching for Butik Songkok Masood Hussin on Google Maps, and Lorong Karat is just behind the shop.

What is Lorong Karat? “Lorong” means back lane, and “Karat” means rusty. You could call this place a street or flea market.

Here, entrepreneurs and artisans sell a wide range of items, from new and used clothes to collectibles, toys, and even antiques.

The market offers an impressive collection of clothing and toys, truly capturing the spirit of Lorong Karat.

Notably, the market isn’t just about goods. This place is also a haven for food lovers. From coffee and pastries to a variety of delicious dishes. There’s even a cendol vendor here!

The location is perfect. Beautiful murals line both sides of the lane, capturing the essence of Muar.

Bookmark this place and make it a point to visit the next time you’re in Muar. It’s family-friendly, and there’s even a sign indicating that smoking and vaping are not allowed inside.

Lorong Karat Muo & Kopi Kopi Malam is a weekly market. It opens every Friday to Sunday, from 6 PM to 12 AM. These pictures were taken on December 15th, 2023, between 6 PM and 8 PM. Reels and more pictures on Instagram.
