Umbai Jetty, Melaka. I discovered this place by chance. My wife needed to use the restroom, and we were on our way to Rumi’s Kafein, a coffee shop in Jalan Pengkalan Batu.
So we parked our car and I took some pictures. I talked to some locals there and learned that you can also take a boat from Umbai Jetty to Pulau Besar, a nearby island.
In addition, Umbai Jetty is also famous for its grilled fish and seafood restaurants. Some of the popular ones are Umbai Grilled Fish and Ikan Bakar Parameswara Restaurant.
After taking some pictures, we went to Rumi’s Kafein as planned. I love this coffee shop. The coffee was great, but what I loved the most was the ambience. It’s outdoors, and you get all the perks of a coffee shop located in a kampung: clean air and no noise pollution.
If you are planning a visit to Melaka, I highly recommend visiting this coffee shop. Then, try the grilled fish at Parameswara Restaurant. We did, and it was delicious!
