We joined Naren Farmers Market, Chapter 2, at Teo Lai Huat Farming in Muar, Johor. It happened two days ago. And we still can’t get over it. Because it was fun and we had a great time!

We loved every minute we were there. Met both new and old friends. Our son, Ashraf, surely had the most fun there. From morning until evening, for two straight days, he played, ran around, and asked us for money every two hours.

We’re glad he had a good time. Coming from our little studio house in Kuala Lumpur, this place felt like heaven. With little to no screen time while he was there, we hope he got a glimpse of how his mummy and daddy were raised.

I’m a kampung boy who spent most of his time outside. Surrounded by nature. Engaging in genuine interactions and physical activities with friends. As you can see in the pictures, Naren Farmers Market chose the perfect location.

We consider this event a success. There’s something special about joining an event outdoors. Not in the city, but in the kampung, in the middle of a farm. One has to abide by the rules of nature, embracing the Shinrin-Yoku way.

No cheat codes. If it rains, it rains. If it’s hot, it’s hot. It rained on the first day and we made peace with it. It was indeed therapeutic. I can’t speak for others, but it calmed us. The sound of raindrops pattering on the roofs and the gentle splashes as they hit the leaves on the trees were truly soothing.

Kudos to the organiser and the team at Naren Farmers Market. You guys did a great job. Can’t wait to join Naren Farmers Market, Chapter 3! Reels and more pictures on Instagram.
